Universal Pictures’Jurassic World Rebirthhas finally screened for critics and pop culture commentators, and the first reactions are in. The Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey-starring franchise installment aims to revitalize the series since the release ofJurassic World: Dominionin 2022.

The film serves as a departure from the main ensemble of theJurassic Worldfilms as a side story centering on a secret mission to utilize dino-DNA for a life-saving cure. So naturally, things go awry because the secluded island they have to go to ends up being filed with failed mutated dinosaur rejects like some island of misfit InGen toys.
